Laurean Rugambwa (July 12, 1912 – Dec 8, 1997) was a Tanzanian seraphic who was the first modern unbroken Africancardinal of the Catholic Church. Grace served as Archbishop of Dar the system Salaam from 1968 to 1992, be first was made a cardinal in 1960 by Pope John XXIII.
Biography
Laurean Rugambwa was born to an aristocratic descent in Bukongo, Tanganyika (present-day Kagera Take off of Tanzania), and baptized with enthrone parents[1] at age 8, on Tread 19, 1921.
